'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Cress Buzzing!

Rotherham United defender, Ryan Cresswell thought that Saturday's performance against Hereford was 'first class'.

Speaking after the game to MillersPlayer the Millers skipper said, 'It was a comfortable win and I think we showed the ability we've got in the squad.

'The score line said it was a close game but I don't think so. I think we had complete control for ninety minutes. If I've got a disappointment from the game, I think it was the second corner which I should have put into the back of the net but I headed it wide but I'm buzzing with the fact that we kept a clean sheet.

'I think we've been a bit inconsistent at times this season and we need to get some momentum going. We've got a new manager coming in who will have his own ideas and I'm sure will fetch in a few additions to the squad.'

Speaking about himself, Ryan, who has been out some time with injury and then couldn't get back into the side, said, 'It's been a very frustrating season for me and for one thing and another I've not been in the squad since December and this season Rotherham United haven't had the best out of Ryan Cresswell. I've got a lot more to offer and after the clean sheet today I've shown what I have got to offer.

'You can train as much as you want but the adrenalin and determination you have on a match day only comes on a match day so the feeling that I got after the win is the best feeling in the world. You get negative thoughts when you've been out so long but I've played enough games to realise that I can dominate games and help others around me. There's no better feeling that coming off knowing that you've won a game one-nil. If you win a game four-nil it's good and you're happy but a one-nil win, as defenders, it's bread-and-butter and I love it.'
