'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Evans No. 1 Target?

Rotherham United are on the look out for a new boss and, we are told, have had more than sixty applicants for the job.

We know amongst those has been former striker and manager, Mark Robins as well as Lee Clark (who has been seen at Don Valley), Brian Laws, Nigel Worthington and old Uncle Tom Cobley an` all.

But, the latest betting odds are favouring current Crawley Town Manager, Steve Evans.

The 'rumour` about Steve Evans has been doing the rounds since we played, and lost, to Crawley a couple of weeks ago and with Les Payne of The Star identifying him as top of the Millers short-list, I would think there is no smoke without fire.

Having seen him 'perform` on the touchline at the Broadfield Stadium recently and knowing of his, shall we say, less than savoury past, and seeing his sides part in the brawl after the whistle last Saturday I`m not sure how Millers fans would take to this appointment - if, of course, it happens.
