'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - View from the Opposition - Wimbledon

Rotherham United's caretaker boss, Darren Patterson, said he thought the Millers were outstanding during the first forty-five minutes at Wimbledon on Saturday which saw Patto get his third win out of four games.

But, Terry Brown, Wimbledon's Manager, was disappointed with the result. Speaking to www.afcwimbledon.tv after the Millers two-one win, Brown said, 'It was certainly a game of two halves.

'I thought we were well under par in the first half and for thirty minutes I don't think we got a touch, although, even when they (Rotherham) were murdering us, we always looked dangerous on the break. I thought their number eighteen (Ben Pringle) today was magnificent - he won every tackle, ran about and was still buzzing about at the end. He shut my full backs down and shut my midfield players down. They have won every tackle today and it was like we didn't have a midfield out there.

'I lashed into them at half-time and we changed to a system that suited us better and we won more battles and had more bodies in central areas. And, to be honest, I thought in the second half we created enough chances to have won the game.'
