'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - View from the Opposition - Cheltenham

Rotherham United caretaker Manager, Darren Patterson said he had been very pleased with the spirit and work ethic from the Millers on Monday afternoon at Don Valley as they got a late goal for the one-nil win over promotion chasing Cheltenham Town.

His counterpart, Robins Manager, Mark Yates was disappointed to lose to the Millers and told their Official Site, 'We're disappointed to have come here and got beaten and not played as well as we could have done.

'We invited them on too much in the first half and we didn't really pass the ball like we have been doing. We changed it around at half-time and I thought that had the desired effect as we took the game to them a bit more so I'm pleased with the effort from the players. We were determined and had a bit more purpose about us and had a couple of half chances that we didn't take. A ninety-third minute goal is always hard to take but we can't do anything about it now.

'This is a tough place to come, they have been on a good run and Darren [Patterson] has done a great job over the past month or so.`
