Rotherham United Manager, Steve Evans says that it`s vital for the Millers - both players and fans - to adjust quickly to the New York Stadium.
Speaking to David Beddows of The Advertiser, Evans said, 'We`ve got to make the stadium our own and that is why we`ve got to get the fans in.
'There is no point in the stadium just having four thousand in because it wouldn`t have the impact we need it to have. Ideally we need to be kicking off with six thousand five hundred to seven thousand there - even a little less would be great because I`m used to kicking off in front of a lot less!.
'I`ve been up behind the goals in the home end so I know what it`s like to be up there and to appreciate the views the supporters are going to get and I`ll go up there again when the pitch is laid and the nets are up. To use the old expression 'you can smell it and it`s ready to happen` and we`ll let our players smell and believe it as well because to give Rotherham United the success it needs we need to live and breathe it.`
