Reserves News

Rotherham Utd reserves beat Notts County 2-0 at Roundwood on Tuesday. My spy tells me that two smart finishes from Alec Denton won the game. In his opinion we seem to have a good crop of youngsters in the reserves at the moment. Two or three of them could be pushing for places at least on the first team bench next year. It`s no secret that Steve Evans has no hesitation in putting youngsters in to team if he thinks they`re good enough. Correct me if I`m wrong but I think in his time at Croydon he put two 17 year olds in for their league debuts.

Another name on the team sheet was that of Ollie Banks, back off his loan spell. Next season could be a big year after breaking through to the first team this time last year and then spending most of this away from the club. Welcome back
