RUFC - Evans disappointed with draw

Rotherham United Manager, Steve Evans was disappointed coming away with only a point from the EEB Stadium on Saturday.

Speaking to MillersPlayer after the two-all draw with Aldershot, Evans said, 'It was a fantastic game with two teams who tried to play the right way and it was a game worked with intensity on a real heavy pitch.

'We had a perfectly good goal ruled out for off-side and with the dallying of the assistant referee's flag it tells you that he wasn't so sure and our players say it was a good goal. And we are disappointed with their first goal because there was a handball in the build up to the goal. We've dominated for the first hour so we are the most disappointed of the two teams.

'I am disappointed with a draw because when you are trying to get promotion or win the championship a draw is like a defeat and we are trying to set those standards now. The supporters have paid their good hard earned money to come down here and they've got behind us. We have to get a mindset that when we don't win a football match we are disappointed and, I don't think that has been in the camp, but let me assure you, it will be from now on.'
