'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Evans 'decisions have been made'

Rotherham United have not been able to get a behind-closed doors friendly this week but Manager, Steve Evans said that training had been intensified this week.

Speaking to MillersPlayer, Evans said, 'We`ve intensified training so we can further look at the players although, it`s probably fair to say, that the decisions have been made. There`s always Saturday of course and that last minute goal or that last minute match performance will maybe make us say 'let`s have another look at this guy`. But I`ve discussed the players I want to keep with the Chairman and Chief Executive today (Wednesday) so they are aware of what we are doing and the next thing is to discuss it with the players and then tell the supporters.

'There have been some tough decisions to make and they`ve been on the fence really for a week and some days we`ve changed our minds. We`ve sat down with the staff and we`ve ultimately made the autocratic decision but it has been a democratic process with input from the senior members of the football staff here. When it came to making the final decisions the staff were as one and that`s how it should be.`
