RUFC - Kayode wants fans to be twelfth man

Rotherham United's latest signing Kayode Odejayi says he is looking forward to helping put Rotherham United back to where they belong.

Speaking to MillersPlayer after successfully passing a medical today, the thirty year old said, 'I think this club is on the verge of something special and I want to be part of that.

'Hopefully I can play my part in helping Rotherham achieve the ambition they have. The stadium is really good and hopefully we can get as many fans in there as possible and create a bit of an atmosphere and make it a bit of a fortress because they can act as the twelfth man.

'The Chairman is obviously ambitious with the new stadium and new training ground and wants to get this club back into the Championship.'

Kayode said he's looking forward to renewing his partnership with Danny Nardiello who he played with at Barnsley saying, 'He's a good player and a great acquisition for this club and, like myself, he will want to get in there and start scoring some goals.

'I'm pretty aware of the players who are here, playing in the lower leagues myself. There's a good squad here and I'm sure the manager is going to make some more useful additions to it.

'The Manager said he thought I was the type of player that would suit the type of play he wants the team to play so hopefully it all goes well and, this time next year, we are where we want to be.'
