'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Evans hopes fans will be 'happy' on Tuesday

Rotherham United Manager, Steve Evans is planning a deal for early next week,

Speaking to MillersPlayer, the Millers boss said, 'We are in talks with players and subject to a medical on Tuesday morning, our fans will be very happy Tuesday afternoon with one signing.

'It's unfortunate that we couldn't get the facility to get the medical done until Tuesday and, my thought process is, until they've actually inked the pre-contract and signed as legally ours then we won't say who they are.

'We are looking at all areas. There is still room in the squad numbers wise and financially wise to bring in five or six other signings. The majority of the players we are looking at are out of contract in the summer but we've got some funds that the Chairman is willing to pay for players but, in an ideal world, we'd rather not pay. We'd rather get the best players in on a Bosman but, as we know, sometimes, to get these players in, you have to give a bit of money anyway so it's never really free.

'We've had to work hard to get Nardiello and Odejayi in and we are going to have to work hard to get our other targets in because the players we'd ideally like to bring in here are all sort after by the league above.
