RUFC - Evans Hunt over as defender captured

Rotherham United have signed, free agent, right-back Nicky Hunt today.

Twenty-eight year old Nicky began his career at Bolton Wanderers where he played more than one hundred and thirty games, making his Premiership debut in August 2003 against Manchester United. While at Bolton, Nicky had loan spells with Birmingham City and Derby County.

In July 2010 Nicky signed a two year deal with Bristol City but only managed a handful of appearances, moving to Preston North End in February this year. Nicky made seventeen appearances for Preston this season, scoring one goal before being told his contract wouldn't be renewed.

Nicky has played at U21 level for England.

Nicky has signed a pre-contract and legal agreement to join the Millers when his current contract expires on 30th June.

All at Vital Rotherham welcome Nicky to the Millers
