RUFC - Millers boss wants competative squad

Rotherham United Manager, Steve Evans told the Official Site that he would like to bring in another four or five players to give the squad a competitive edge.

The Millers boss said he would like to finalise a squad of twenty-two by the time they return to pre-season training in July. He went on to say that, as a minimum, he feels the squad needs a left back, possible two central midfielders and a winger, adding that it would be great if Lewis Grabban decides to leave that he could bring in another striker.

Speaking about last seasons top scorer, Grabban, Evans said that Crawley are still interested in him and, even though personal terms couldn`t be agreed, they are still keen. He also said there was interest from other Southern based clubs.

With such a busy week of player talks, Steve did take time out to present trophies to a couple of local sides as well as visiting two seriously ill lifetime Millers who are sadly in hospital.
