RUFC - Millers boss on the circulating rumours

Rotherham United Manager, Steve Evans has dismissed the rumours that have linked Eunan O`Kane with the Millers.

'He`s a talented young man,` the Millers boss told MillersPlayer, 'and although he`s impressed us we are going in a slightly different direction. He`s not a player we`ve spoken to Torquay about or a player that we`ve bid for.

'I think Eunan will move to higher than League Two which his abilities deserve.`

Evans also said there were no truth in the rumours that midfielder Franck Moussa would be signed. 'He`s another good player,` Evans said, 'but if you believe what you read then he`s off to Chesterfield.`

Asked about Kieran Agard, who was released from Yeovil at the end of the season, Evans said, 'We had a chat with Kieran and made, what we thought, was a good offer but he wanted Championship wages so we told him to go and sign for a Championship club. He`s a young man with potential who we thought highly of and he conducted himself impeccably and was a smashing young man but his demands were quite extraordinary.`
