Rotherham United Manager, Steve Evans says he has clocked up many miles in bringing in his latest signing, Kari Arnason.

Speaking to the Official Site the Millers boss said, 'Kari is without doubt an outstanding talent and I am delighted we have brought him to Rotherham United. Once again the Chairman has been very supportive and my thanks go to him and the directors.`

Speaking about the twenty-nine year old Icelandic International, Evans said, 'He is a player who I first spotted at Plymouth Argyle and I followed his performances last season at Aberdeen with real interest. I have signed him as a midfielder but he has also played at centre-back and full-back for his country.

'He is technically outstanding, very creative in the attacking third while his passing is top class and added to his physique, defensive awareness and work rate there is no doubt this is a major signing for all of us.

'We have beaten several clubs from both home and abroad for Kari but as soon as he went round the New York Stadium and I spoke of our ambitions as a football club he wanted to be a Miller. The staff and the fans will love him.`

Kari has signed a two year pre-contract which will commence on 1st July,
