Rotherham United's Chief Operating Officer Paul Douglas is in talks with a left-back according to Millers Manager, Steve Evans.

With Tom Newey and loanees Scott Griffiths and Sam Wood leaving this summers, Evans is wanting to strengthen in the left-back position and has confirmed that contact has been made with one of his preferred targets.

Speaking to the Official Site, the Millers Boss said, 'We have two or three options for the position, and to be fair I think that either of those options would do a great job for the club. There are still many factors to consider, Paul Douglas will ensure that any deal will fit into the financial framework, and I am sure he will be on the phone to me if there are any significant developments. He is having a chat with one target in particular so we are very much on the front foot with that area.'
