RUFC - Evans talking to potential signing today

Rotherham United Manager, Steve Evans is scheduled to have a meeting this morning with another potential player.

Speaking to the Official Site in his usual Gaffer on Sunday spot, Evans said that transfer listed Ryan Cresswell had been attracting interest from League Two clubs and the Conference while goalkeeper Jamie Annerson had Conference teams interested too.

The Millers boss also said he`d had a chance to speak with the manager of the young striker he is after and a season long loan was discussed. There will be more discussions next month.

Two players that Evans had his eye on have decided to start their pre-season with Championship clubs but he is keeping in close contact with them.

Asked who he thought were contenders for promotion from League Two in the coming season, Steve said he wouldn`t rule out Torquay, Southend and Cheltenham while he thinks newly promoted Fleetwood Town could put up a firm challenge.

He also said that the supporters of Rotherham United should have high expectations next season while also saying he hoped to have more new signings next week.
