Rotherham United defender Ryan Cresswell has joined League Two's Southend United, subject to a medical.
Twenty-four year old Cress joined the Millers from Bury in the summer of 2010 with Ronnie Moore making him captain. The tall defender appeared forty-three times for the Millers chipping in with nine goals his first being in the two-one win over Lincoln City in August 2010. Ryan had also had a loan spell for the Millers in 2007 when he was with neighbours Sheffield United.
Ryan was told that by Millers Manager Steve Evans that his game time would be 'limited' a few weeks ago and it is thought a number of clubs were interested in him before the Shrimpers took him to Roots Hall.
Everyone at Vital Rotherham wishes Ryan all the best in his future.
