'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Boss would love to work with former striker

Rotherham United Manager, Steve Evans could be in danger of upsetting Bournemouth Manager, Paul Groves again after admitting that he'd love to work with Matt Tubbs again.

Striker Tubbs signed for Bournemouth from Evans' former club Crawley Town in January but has only made seven appearances for the Cherries due to a groin injury.

Evans put in a 'cheeky' bid for the twenty-seven year old in May which was rejected and which Groves said was 'distasteful' being wrong to talk about failed bids with players that were still under contract with a club. He also said that Tubbs was a key part of the Cherries plans for next season though since then Groves has signed strikers Lewis Grabban, Frank Demouge and Josh McQuoid.

Evans told Radio Sheffield today that Tubbs is a fantastic player, a great goalscorer and a top class young man while saying that he could see himself working with Tubbs in the future but also said, 'First and foremost he's an AFC Bournemouth player and the truth is he is in AFC Bournemouth's plans.'
