RUFC - Raynor impressed with fitness levels

Rotherham United Assistant Manager, Paul Raynor said it was a magnificent turn-out by the Rotherham fans at Roundwood yesterday to watch the Millers play Parkgate.

Speaking to MillersPlayer before he jetted off with the rest of the squad to the Algarve for some sun and 'bonding` with the team, Paul said, 'Everybody got forty-five minutes and it was a good work out for us and we`re delighted with the fitness levels but know there`s a lot to work on.`

Paul said he didn`t really want to pick out individuals but was asked about Alec Denton, who scored a brace in yesterday`s six-nil win and said, 'He showed in the couple of reserve games we had towards the end of last season that he`s got an eye for a goal which he proved again today and, with a bit more composure, he maybe could have got a third goal. But that will come. We`ve not done an awful lot of work in the final third which I think showed a little bit today.'
