RUFC - Injuries but nothing to worry about

RUFC - Injuries but nothing to worry about

Rotherham United played most of their squad for forty-five minutes yesterday against Parkgate delighting the watching Millers as they got to see nine of the ten new signings that have been made since the end of last season.

Missing from the squad was Michael O`Connor who joined at the end of last month after being released by Scunthorpe.

Michael and Dale Tonge didn`t take part yesterday due to slight strains and a bit of fatigue but have travelled to Portugal with the rest of the squad and it is hoped they will be available for the Barnsley game next Saturday.

Trialist, Scott Donnelly didn`t travel with the team to the Algarve.

Standing on the sidelines, taking what his assistant calls a 'watching brief` was Millers boss Steve Evans who has been missing since the beginning of the week and, on doctors orders, has had a rest so it was good to see him up and about.

If you were at Parkgate yesterday, did any of the new players stand out for you? What did you think of the lads who have come through the Youth team with the Millers? And how did you think the players that the management team have kept performed? And what about Warney - played his soul out for forty-five minutes then spent half-time warming the 'second eleven` up ready for the second half!
