RUFC - Steve proud to be a Miller

Rotherham United Manager Steve Evans says that he is 'so proud' that he is the manager who is in charge of the Millers on Saturday as they take up home in their new stadium.

Speaking to the Official Site, the Millers Boss said, 'Our supporters have suffered in recent times but on Saturday we are back home. I am proud to be a Miller and I will give the job everything I have.

The Millers are returning from a pre-season trip away, where they played and beat Oldham Athletic in a friendly. After that game, Steve said the most of the ingredients were there but there could be maybe a couple of more additions. 'The ability is there and yesterday showed the desire and commitment to win which is the most important ingredient of all.'

Saying that they had a tough two weeks ahead of them, Steve carried on, 'Barnsley, Doncaster Rovers, Hearts and Sheffield United will test us both physically and from a football perspective but they are the matches in which we will all learn about ourselves ahead of the new season.'
