RUFC - Tubbs happy where he is

Rotherham United probably won't be getting Matt Tubbs now or in the near future as the player himself says, as a player, he has to move on.

Tubbs played under Millers Manager Steve Evans at Crawley and, while Evans tried to keep the striker at the Broadfield Stadium, he was transferred to Bournemouth with the player himself saying it was a 'tough decision'.

When Evans moving to Rotherham he made public a tabled bid for the twenty-eight year old, which Bournemouth boss, Paul Groves said was 'distasteful' and, even with Evans still saying he is interested in him, Tubbs has told Radio Solent that he is happy with the Cherries, which is his home town.

Speaking about Evans, Tubbs said, 'I've always got on with Steve Evans, a lot of people don't agree with the things he says but I did quite well for him and he respects me and I respect him. He tabled a bid, it got rejected and so we move on.'

Just won't go away this connection between Evans and Tubbs will it. Will we ever see him in a Rotherham shirt? Well, only time will tell, though I wouldn't rule it out.
