'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Noble 'pitch is Premiership standard'

The first Rotherham United scorer at the New York Stadium, David Noble says that the pitch is as good as any he's ever played on.

'It's a really nice surface, like a bowling green,' the thirty-year old told Les Payne of The Star, 'and, if you can't play on that …well. I've played on some nice pitches in my career and it's certainly up there with them. Although I've never played in the Premier League that surface is Premier League standard for sure,'

Saying the new stadium is 'beautiful' the former Bristol City and Exeter City midfielder said that it was the first real game the players had played together carrying on saying, 'We are all getting to know each other so to look good straight away is a positive.'

The pitch looked really good on Saturday and the players seemed at ease passing the ball about on it. Long may it continue!
