RUFC - Evans 'supporters awesome'

Rotherham United Manager, Steve Evans says that the Millers fans have been fantastic.

Speaking about the recent wins over Barnsley and Doncaster Rovers the Millers Boss said, 'Our supporters have been awesome.

'The atmosphere they create is just fantastic and I can tell them that the players and myself appreciate it fully.  We went a goal behind in the Barnsley and Doncaster Rovers matches but instead of moaning, the supporters sang louder for the team and look at the response the lads gave them.'

Steve also said that competition for places in the team is getting fierce which, he said, can only be a good thing. 'I am looking at a much improved Jason Taylor, a classy David Noble, a superb Ben Pringle and  the best player in League Two by some distance, Kari Arnason.' He also said that he thinks, providing he keeps a level head, Mitch Rose could play at a higher level.

It is good to be able to hear the fans in the 'kop' sing with fans from the other stands joining in too. It's also good to see the smiley faces both entering and leaving the stadium - to others our ground might not be the biggest but the heart has been put back in Rotherham United both on and off the pitch.
