'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Kieran 'wants to be here'

Rotherham United's latest signing, Kieran Agard said that it was the stadium and the ambition of the club that made him decide to sign for the Millers.

Millers Manager, Steve Evans, tried to sign the striker a few weeks ago but after more or less promising himself to the Millers a better deal was offered elsewhere. Obviously, things didn't work out for him and he played on trial for the Millers on Tuesday night and put pen to paper on Friday evening.

After having offers from clubs in League one the twenty-two year old striker told MillersPlayer, 'This is somewhere I want to be. I want to come here and I want to win things and the ambition here suits me. There's some good quality in the squad which can only reflect on the pitch.

'It's a great stadium and even better is the atmosphere of the fans who were singing throughout the game.'

Talking about the winner he scored on Tuesday against Doncaster Rovers, Kieran said, 'My Mum was in the stands and it's always nice to score in front of her. The ball came over and I spun my man, saw some space, darted into it and hit it low and it's in the back of the net.'

Asked what he would bring to the Millers, Kieran replied, 'I've got a lot of pace and I score goals. I'm naturally fit and always keep myself in good shape.'
