RUFC - Evans not given up on getting striker in

Rotherham United Manager, Steve Evans is still on the look out for a new striker.

Speaking to Rob Staton of Radio Sheffield the Millers Boss said that he will be speaking to the Chairman and putting a name to him that hasn`t been mentioned before.

Saying he wouldn`t say who it was or that he wouldn`t answer any questions about this player, Evans said, 'He`s an exciting young talent and a player I`d like to bring here. I don`t think you can have too many strikers - Neil Warnock is a great lover of having strikers and I think he`s got twenty at the minute, possibly even more!

'We have tried to pick players who are obviously attractive to us in the position they play but who can also play in other positions.

'We are happy with the squad but if we get one or two more in before we face Burton Albion then great.

'I`ve told the players that I don`t like any of them, though I don`t dislike any of them, I do respect them.`

Already having a number of strikers plus other players who can chip in with goals, I think we might be better bringing in a utility player, or another defender, having two already out for the next few weeks injured.
