RUFC - Evans praise for the 'big man'

Rotherham United Manager Steve Evans agreed with the Sponsors Man of the Match this afternoon saying that Kayode Odejayi`s all round play was outstanding.

Speaking after the three-nil win at the New York Stadium this afternoon, Evans said, 'I thought his whole round play, his purpose, his strength, his holding the ball up was outstanding today and I thought Nardiello fed off him great.

'I know most of the fans in the ground will think his goal was an easy header but he`s looped it over two defenders and put it in the far corner of the net. And, he knows himself, he should have had another one with a header.`

I thought Odejayi had a great game today and won every header going. He was also being pulled by the visitors defenders, with sometimes as many as three defenders round him. Yet, he never got phased, never lost his temper. I said the first couple of times I saw him, for a big man he gets himself into some good positions and spaces and I think we saw that again today.
