'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - View from the Opposition - Burton

Rotherham United Manager Steve Evans was delighted to have won the game on Saturday against Burton Albion saying that he thought some of the football was 'outstanding'.

Brewers' Manager Gary Rowett didn't think that his team were doing too badly going into half-time at two-nil down.

Speaking to BrewersPlayer Rowett said, 'After the first twenty minutes of the game I thought we had four of five opportunities and I thought if we started well in the second half we could have dealt with things.

Speaking about the sending off, Rowett said, 'It was a bit of stupidity from Lee Bell, who has been brilliant for us throughout pre-season and I can't say too much negative about him but he probably cost us that chance to get back in it. It was a silly foul and he knows it.

'I thought we should have done better with the penalty and the second goal came from a long throw which I think the official got wrong and it wasn't a throw at all. But we knew it was going to be a tough ask coming here for a first game and I thought we acquitted ourselves very well.'
