RUFC - Defender 'It's been a hard start'

Rotherham United defender Laurie Wilson thinks that the start of the season has been a hard start for the Millers.

Speaking to The Advertiser the former Morecambe player said, 'Looking at the first three games, Burton, Northampton and Chesterfield, it`s a hard start but, as a player, you want to test yourself early on and know where you stand. And, we have good enough players here to go anywhere and get a result of some sort. We can play football but we can also do the ugly side as well, which is important when you go away in this division.`

Laurie who joined the Millers from Morecambe in the summer spoke about the New York Stadium and the fact that the place was 'bouncing` last Saturday. 'Everyone is singing and shouting and it echoes round the ground. In fact, last Saturday it was hard to hear some of your own players! But, I`ve no complaints about that because the more we get in, the merrier. It`s easily the best ground in the league if not the higher league. '
