'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC Koyode's time

If you look at the "stats" on Koyode Odejayi`s career, he`s never been a prolific goal scorer. With 450 appearances and 45 goals, it`s not been a good return. However to have been Colchester`s player of the year and player`s player he`s obviously doing something right in the eyes of his peers. He's also endeared himself to the Millers faithfull aswell.

So far this season he`s not failed to impress with his hard work and undoubted strength. That was shown to good effect on Saturday with his brilliant roll round the defender and then power away toward goal and finish!

Sometimes a player flourishes when a number of other elements come in to play. Alfie had always scored goals but he came in to his own at Rotherham. Now, I`m not saying big "O" is going to be the next Le Fondre, they`re different players completely. But perhaps with the creative players Steve Evans has signed around the big striker, could this be the season when the big guy gets his reward for his all his hard work in the goals scored rather than assists column?

They say every man has his time. Is that time now for Koyode?

Hope so! I've been impressed with the work he's put in since he's been here - a Barnsley fan said he was never like that for them!
