'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Injury News Update

Rotherham United Manager Steve Evans was forced into changing his goalkeeper for this evening`s game against York City.

Former City shot stopper Andy Warrington was recalled as number one 'keeper Scott Shearer became a daddy at tea-time today - and all at Vital Rotherham send our good wishes to Scott and his wife and their new baby daughter.

Speaking to Radio Sheffield after the game this evening, the Millers Boss said, 'I think if Scott had been here we`d have played Woggy tonight and I think he did OK. But has he done enough to oust Shearer? No, I don`t think so to be honest.

'The big man (Shearer) will be back in tomorrow and be available for the game at Port Vale.`

Asked about Mark Bradley who left the field of play on twenty-three minutes tonight, Evans said, 'I think he`s strained his hamstring which means we could lose him for ten days or so which means, with Kari Arnason away on International duty, we are missing two of our back four.

'We have got some good news regarding injured players coming back and Nicky Hunt and Dale Tonge will play in the reserve game at Gateshead tomorrow as will Craig Morgan and I`ll be surprised if at least one of them doesn`t make it for the weekend, especially Hunt who has been absolutely fine in training for the last two or three days.`
