RUFC - Raynor 'dreadful crossing'

Rotherham United`s Assistant Manager Paul Raynor said that some of the passing on Tuesday night was 'dreadful`.

Speaking to Les Payne of The Star after the first competitive loss at the New York Stadium, Paul said, 'We knew York would make it difficult, putting men behind the ball and looking to hit us on the break. But we did get into some good positions but our crossing was dreadful and we needed to deliver with better quality.`

Echoing Steve Evans` thoughts, Paul said, 'We gave some players an opportunity and they didn`t grasp it and some let themselves down. If people aren`t up to it then we will do something about it because the fans deserve better.`

Personally, I think bringing Kayode Odejayi on at half-time would have sorted the 'poor crossing` out and I`d have brought Daniel Nardiello on much earlier than the last ten minutes - but then, I`m not the manager and I`m sure he had his reasons.
