RUFC - Latest Injury Update

Rotherham United Manager Steve Evans is hoping that the Millers will have defender/midfielder Kari Arnason back for the weekends clash against Barnet at Underhill - and, I think I speak for most of us, when I say so do the fans.

The twenty-nine year old hasn't played since the first of the month after going to play for his International side Iceland and coming back with a foot injury.

Speaking to MillersPlayer, the Millers Boss said, 'It will be late Friday before we make a decision about Kari.

'If he's fit he plays but we won't take a risk with him and if he's not quite right he won't be included.'

Speaking about Laurie Wilson who limped off with a knee injury in the loss against Port Vale, Evans says, 'There's a little shadow grey area shown up in his scan, I don't know the technical name for it, but we are hopeful. Denis (Circuit) seems to think he'll be OK and will probably be back next week but we are getting a second opinion because we don't want to cause the player any further damage.'

Mark Bradley was on the bench on Tuesday night and Steve said, 'He'll be back available for Saturday.'

One person who will travel with the squad to the Underhill Stadium is David Noble who has come back to training today after being off with a virus and for personal reasons. 'We'll look at David in training,' Steve said. 'He's an exceptionally fit lad and a gifted footballer and we'd like to get him involved in some capacity too. We spoke to him yesterday and he seemed a lot brighter and more like the David Noble we know.'
