RUFC - Evans to keep tabs on striker

Rotherham United Manager Steve Evans will still be keeping an eye on much wanted striker Matt Tubbs even though, it seems, he was thwarted once again at the last minute in his effort to bring the Bournemouth player in on loan this week.

Speaking to The Advertiser the Millers Boss, who serves his third of a six match stadium ban tomorrow, said, 'We had come to an agreement last Friday but then he scored twice and the situation changed. So, if that happens now I will fall of a tree.

'It goes without saying that he`d be a big asset to for us because he`s a player with a regular habit of sticking the ball in the net.

'It might be something we look at again in January if the boy falls out of favour down there. But, though we`ve put a lot of effort into it, we have to move on.`
