RUFC - Tonge wants more games in new role

Rotherham United defender Dale Tonge admits that its going to take some time to get used to his new role as left-back.

Tonge, who hadn`t kicked a ball pre-season due to an Achilles injury, came off the subs bench early in the game at Port Vale as left-back when Laurie Wilson went off injured.

Always a right-back until then Tongey told David Beddows of The Advertiser, 'I know I`m still at full-back but everything is literally the opposite and it`s going to take some time to get used to it and play a few more games and bed down in that position because everything is different like body positions.`

Speaking about the game on Tuesday night, the former Barnsley defender said, 'I thought we were second best to be honest but it`s a team game and we just have to dust ourselves down and get ready for Barnet.`
