'If It's Football, It's Vital'

How Long can this be accepted?

The weeks news has been dominated by the findings in to the Hillsborough tragedy. One item that has been revealed that has been tacitly accepted for so long is the singing of hate songs from one group of fans to another. Never having been at these heights to watch games I never realised it was so prevalent and for so long.

On 4th September I wrote about how the one incident at the Bradford game could affect club plans if that is what they wanted and it formed part of a strategy.

Well I`d like to say now that hatred is hatred whether it`s the colour of skin or club shirt. If the FA`s answer is to close ground sections etc, as this is what they`ve threatened, then let them start with the clubs that have endured this taunting for years. Go for the big boys first, not a club that`s a first time offender by a minority of people

They know they won't have much of a fuss from us little clubs. I didn't hear the incident at the NYS but it shouldn't have happened. But I did hear Ben Pringle being singled out for the colour of his hair while at Northampton I heard their fans singing cruel things to Steve Evans.
