Rotherham United's double scorer on Saturday Michael O'Connor says that it was a 'big three points' after the win over Oxford at the New York Stadium.

Speaking to MillersPlayer after the game, the twenty-four year old midfielder said, 'It was a big game for both teams and the lads showed great character to come from one-nil down.

'At two-one our 'keeper makes a wonder save and if it had gone two-two then our heads might have dropped like at Rochdale but the big man kept us in the game and then we went and made it three-one and we needed that third goal to ease it off a bit.'

Speaking about his goals, the former Scunthorpe player said, 'Ito get two goals from midfield isn't bad but it's the three points that count. Raynes (Paul Raynor) told me to get in them areas and if you do then you'll score and I did it today and against Bradford. I do try and be a box-to-box midfielder and I'll keep getting in those positions and try to get to double figures this year.'
