RUFC - Evans praise for 'magnificent' fans

Rotherham United Manager Steve Evans had nothing but praise for the Millers fans after all the allocation of tickets for the York game on Saturday at Bootham Crescent have been sold.

Speaking to the Official Site, the Millers Boss said, 'Our fans have been terrific and I know that the one thousand six hundred will make plenty of noise. Taking that many is magnificent and let`s hope the performance does the fans justice because that is important.'

It is great to be taking so many away from home but I think we should be thinking about some of the fans who went on Tuesday night, got soaked to the skin, didn't see any football and who won't be going on Saturday because, after being told up until Tuesday afternoon that there would be a facility to pay-on-the-day at York all of a sudden on Wednesday they found out it had been made all ticket and hadn't time to go down to New York Stadium and get tickets.

Now who's fault this is I don't know - York City are blaming Rotherham United and Rotherham United are blaming York City. Whatever, frankly, I think it stinks.
