RUFC - Morgan is playing the waiting game

Rotherham United defender Craig Morgan says that, at the moment, he is playing the waiting game.

The twenty-seven year old is on loan with the Millers after having his contract terminated in the summer by Preston North End but has told David Beddows of The Advertiser that he wants to stay at the New York Stadium.

'I`m here until January and if my form has been good and there`s something on the table for me here then that will be great,` the Welshman said. 'If not then I`m a free agent in January and will be in the shop window. But I want to commit myself to Rotherham United and I am waiting for them to come in with an offer. At the moment I`m in a waiting game and all I can do is go out and try the best I can every week.`

Millers Manager Steve Evans has been very cagey when asked about keeping Morgan saying that there is time to think about it. As the statisticians amongst us will know, since we`ve had Craig Morgan in the side we`ve kept three clean sheets and he`s often been spoken of as the 'best man on the pitch` by Millers fans. But, maybe the Boss has other players is keeping his options open and seeing who else is available in the January sales? Or maybe he wants to keep Craig on his toes?
