'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Evans On His Return

Rotherham United Manager Steve Evans has served his six match stadium ban, and, I think has served it with as much decorum as he could, when he must have been seething inside.

Yes, he talked about it and he`s admitted that it`s not been the same and it hasn't been the same not having him there on the touchline barking at the players, motivating the players and having a word with the fourth official and the ref (!)

Speaking after his return today the Millers Boss said him not being there with his players at the ground was like 'an army general sending his troops to the war, gives them a big rallying speech and then goes home and tells them all he`s going home to watch it on the telly and he`ll give them a ring.

'What was done to me was not right and no one in football thinks it was right. I don`t like the decision but I respect it`s their right to do it.`

Asked if he thought the performance today was because he was back on the touchline, Steve said, 'No, I don`t think it was.`
