RUFC - Warrington Set To Play On

Rotherham United goalkeeper Andy Warrington will start his first league game at the New York Stadium tomorrow evening against Morecambe.

Woggy, who has been through thick, thinner and thinner with the Millers began his first league game of the season in the three-nil win at Aldershot on Saturday because of an injury to preferred 'keeper Scott Shearer.

Joining Rotherham in the summer of 2007 he soon became a fans favourite getting various awards in his five years, including twice being Vital Rotherham's Player of the Season. He stayed with the Millers, as did many other club staff, when the Millers fell to probably their lowest ebb going into administration again and, through that, ended up playing at the soulless Don Valley Stadium.

Speaking about the thirty-six year old former Bury, Doncaster and York shot stopper, the Millers Manager Steve Evans told MillersPlayer that he wouldn't get another 'keeper in before tomorrow night. He did say that he spoke to a Premiership club yesterday who offered the Millers his third choice 'keeper but he had to play whereas Steve said, 'I wasn't confident enough to say we would do that because Andy Warrington's done nothing wrong.'

Like Saturday the Millers will probably have Tony Thompson on the bench.
