Rotherham United Manager Steve Evans praised his battling Millers after their one-nil win over Plymouth at the New York Stadium on Saturday although he did admit that his team didn't play anything like they could do.
Meanwhile Pilgrims Manager Carl Fletcher said it was 'lack of quality' that lost his side the game.
It took the Millers until the seventy-third minute to break the deadlock with Fletcher telling the Plymouth Official Site, 'We knew it was going to be a tough test and our quality and possession let us down a bit.
'We had a game-plan to deal with the set-pieces and, to a degree, it worked pretty well, but, like I said, on the flip side, when we got the ball, the quality just wasn't there. was pleased with how all the lads did defensively at the set-pieces. We had lads who were a lot smaller than the Rotherham players and they had to scrap and fight.
'We didn't keep the ball as well as we can and that was disappointing but, on the day, Rotherham were better than us.'
