RUFC - Evans Pleased To Have Signed Devitt

Rotherham United Manager Steve Evans says that latest loannee Jamie Devitt can play football

Speaking to MillersPlayer the Millers Boss said, 'Jamie first came to my attention playing in the Hull City first team and for his age he is experienced but desperately needs to be playing first team football.

'He's predominantly a right winger but can pop up on the left with the same effect and he's quick with good ability and is great on the ball. If he performs how we expect him to do then I can see him having a few games for us while he's here.'

'He's been outstanding for Hull's Reserve team in the last couple of weeks and he's a welcome addition to the squad. He's here initially for a month with the long term plan being for us to have a look at him and see if we think he could play at a higher level.'

Jamie has been given permission by Hull Manager Steve Bruce to play in the FA Cup game on Saturday which Steve Evans says he is very grateful for and has had experience playing at League Two with Accrington Stanley and Bradford City which will stand him in good stead.
