RUFC - Jamie Can't Wait To Get Going

Join The Vital Debate

Rotherham United's latest loanee Jamie Devitt said he can't wait to get started.

Looking round the New York Stadium he spoke to MillersPlayer after his arrival today from Championship side Hull City, and said, 'My chances have been limited at Hull this season and I want to be out playing games. I had a meeting with Steve Bruce this morning and he told me to go out and grasp the opportunity and do my best.

'I've played against Rotherham a couple of times and they are a big club and looking at the new stadium they are wanting to go places and that's where I want to go as well. It's a good closed in stadium so you can hear the fans and I'm looking forward to playing in it.'

Asked what he will bring to the Millers Jamie said, 'Hopefully I'll create and score a few goals. I've been on loan to six or seven League Two clubs so I know what this league's about. It's the first club I've gone to where I didn't know anybody but they seem a good bunch of lads and have made me feel welcome.'
