RUFC - Premier Ref? You're Having A Laff

Rotherham United Manager Steve Evans said he was 'mystified` by some of the decisions by the referee last night.

The man in question is Premiership referee Chris Foy who, to me, for some of the game wasn't up with play as he perhaps should have been. There were a few times, particularly in the first half, when the linesman wavered before showing putting his flag up seemingly looking to Mr Foy for confirmation when he himself was nearer the incident.

Speaking after the one-all draw with Fleetwood the Millers Boss said, 'I`m not here to criticise referees but Mr Foy, who is normally very good, on reflection has had a bad game.`

One incident, which happened in front of the Millers fans, was when Fleetwood 'keeper Scot Davis clearly handled the ball eighteen inches over his line and Evans said, 'The Fleetwood fans were laughing when he played on.

'I've watched Chris Foy in the Premiership many, many times and he`s a top official but he`s had a bad night tonight.`

Davis was actually Town`s best player last night and made a couple of acrobatic saves during the game, one particularly from Alex Revell but he really shouldn't have been on the pitch to do that.

And yes, we know the saying 'what goes around comes around` but it was a poor decision by this 'top` official and I hope it`s not the two points at the end of the season that we need.
