RUFC - Evans Pleased To Get Rooney

Rotherham United Manager is delighted that he's finally got his man.

At the third time of asking, winger Luke Rooney has joined the Millers on loan from Swindon Town.

Speaking to the Official Site as the squad, including Rooney, set off for Dagenham today, the Millers Boss said, 'I could not be any happier with this signing, it is the third time I have tried to sign the lad so my patience has paid off.

'We had to move quickly to find a top class replacement for Jamie Devitt and every time I've seen this lad play he's been excellent.

'He has excellent technique, he is competitive and a real winner and he will be in the squad for Dagenham and I will decide in the morning if he starts or sits alongside me for a while.'
