RUFC - Evans Praise For Nards

Vital Rotherham on: facebook

Rotherham United Manager Steve Evans repeated what he has always said about striker Daniel Nardiello and that`s that he 'loves him` (though I`m sure it`s not in a puffy way!)

Speaking to Radio Sheffield about the striker, who scored two goals for the Millers yesterday - and, in my opinion could have had another two - the Millers Boss said, 'We brought him off the bench at Dagenham last week hoping for a bit of a miracle but I don`t think he was fully fit and I don`t think he was fully fit at the start of this week.

'But he`s got character and I love him to bits and he kept saying 'look at me tomorrow in training` and he came in and sparkled. And I`m delighted for him and he should have got himself a hat-trick today and his performance deserved a hat-trick.

'He`s the type of player who doesn't look industrious or hard working but he`s making moves when others aren't seeing it and his second goal started with a great touch from Craig Morgan to pick him out but the first touch, the side stepping the defender and passing by the goalkeeper was what we see Nardiello do regularly.`

I thought Nards had a really good game yesterday and looked dangerous whenever he got the ball. He seemed to work well with young Courtney Cameron and it's a partnership I'd like to see more of
