'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Millers Boss Thanks Fans

Rotherham United Manager Steve Evans told Radio Sheffield that a major plus in yesterday's game was the Millers fans.

Over six thousand seven hundred supporters were at the New York Stadium, and, apart from just over three hundred, all were Millers fans and with the majority singing, clapping, chanting throughout the afternoon - even when the team went one down in the opening minute.

After the four-two win, the Millers Boss said, ''You come back here today after an horrific result last week for the travelling fans yet after going one down in the first few seconds you could have heard the supporters in Sheffield as they backed the team.

'The atmosphere here keeps getting better and I`ll appeal to them because we need them. This roller coaster continues with gigantic proportions with bombs places all around waiting for it to explode on us. We`ll just keep taking the bombs out and defusing them.`

If you missed yesterday's game you missed a cracker! The atmosphere was electric and some of the football was excellent. Tuesday night? Who knows but I'll be there - will you?
