'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - View From The Opposition - Cheltenham

Rotherham United Manager Steve Evans said that his team thoroughly deserved the four-two victory over Cheltenham Town at New York Stadium on Saturday.

Meanwhile, the Robins Manager Mark Yates told Radio Gloucestershire that he thought his players had let themselves down.

'I was very disappointed in the way we played and the worst thing we did was score the first goal. We started on the front foot but the rest of the forty minutes were far from pleasing.

'I wasn't happy having to chase the game and, although they've been magnificent all season, I think my players let themselves down today. There was a lot I wasn't happy with today and I don't think too many players got any positives out of the game and that's disappointing.

'The supporters came up in their numbers today and it`s a pity we didn't give them something to shout about.

'The good thing is we`ve got a game on Tuesday and we can try and put it right but we got what we deserved today for our poor first half showing.`
