RUFC - Frecks Deal Extended

Rotherham United have extended the emergency loan of midfielder Lee Frecklington subject to Football League ratification.

Although we all knew this was on the cards, the deal was put in serious doubt when the twenty-seven year old had to be replaced on Tuesday night with a back injury. But, it seems the injury wasn't as bad as first thought and he should be back in training early next week.

Other teams have made enquiries about Lee but, as he said he would like, he has decided to stay with the Millers and there are thoughts that this will be made into a permanent deal in January.

Speaking to the Official Site, Millers Boss Steve Evans acknowledged the part that Peterborough had played in Lee signing for the Millers saying, 'Darragh MacAnthony (Chairman), Darren Ferguson (Manager) and Barry Fry (Director of Football) have been excellent to deal with every time I have had to do business with them.'

I for one am pleased firstly that Frecks is OK and secondly that he's staying. He's certainly played a big part in the Millers side since joining on loan and is fast becoming a fans' favourite.
